Some restaurant owners are making it clear who they don’t want to serve
In a post that has gone viral on facebook and other social media platforms an Oklahoma restaurant owner, Gary James, made it very clear that he does not want Blacks or gays patronizing his business.
I’ve been in business 44 years, I think I can spot a freak or a f*ggot.”
He added, “I don’t deal with these people walking down the street with no jobs on welfare.”
James said, “If I reached over there and slapped the s*** out of you, you should be offended. But to call someone a ‘chink’ or someone call me a bigot, that doesn’t bother me.”
In another statement he said that
“I really don’t want gays around. Any man that would compromise his own body would compromise anything.”
This follows another case in Atlanta where a restaurant owner Palmer Marsh caused quite a stir from his facebook posts
If the South had won, we would be a hell of a lot better off.
and another one…
My Confederate money that I inherited is on my kitchen counter. RIGHT NOW! Steal the money, if you like, but don’t try to take my flag because you might get seriously injured by doing so.
Now you might think that this is the result of the ‘Trump era’ of emboldening racists but you’d be wrong.
What many of those on social media didn’t see was that those posts from Palmer were from 2 and even 3 years ago! Long before President Trump ever took office.
Whether or not President Trump is responsible for emboldening of racists is debatable but this just goes to show that we must learn all the facts before we jump to conclusions.
Old racist red necks are nothing new. It’s just a good thing that we have social media to call these bad apples out.
